Can we talk about something that's been on my heart lately? In this season of thankfulness, I want to share why practicing gratitude isn't just about feeling warm and fuzzy - it's actually a POWERFUL tool for our wellbeing, especially for those of us in our fabulous 40s and beyond!
Y'all, the science behind gratitude is mind-blowing! 🤯 When we take time to focus on what we're thankful for, our bodies actually respond in amazing ways:
Lower stress levels (and we all know what cortisol does to our bodies after 40!)
Better sleep quality (yes please!)
Increased feel-good hormones
Stronger immune system
And get this... some studies even show it can help with those hormone-related mood swings we know all too well 😉
But here's the real talk - I know it's not always easy to feel grateful when we're dealing with achy joints, hot flashes, or those lovely middle-of-the-night wake-ups. That's exactly why I want to challenge you to join me this month in a little gratitude practice!
Start small. Maybe it's writing down ONE thing each morning that makes you smile. Maybe it's sending a quick text to someone who brightens your day. The size of the gratitude doesn't matter - it's the practice that counts!
And speaking of being thankful... I am SO GRATEFUL for each of you who show up, push through the tough stuff, and make our community the amazing space it is. You inspire me every single day!
